Edmund O. Wattis built his beautiful home in Ogden, Utah in the early 1900s. As founder of the Utah Construction Company, Wattis and his brothers played a pivotal role in Utah's history.
The Wattis home, one of the finest examples of Prairie Style architecture in the state of Utah, was originally designed by local architects Leslie Hodgson and Eber Piers.
By 2004, it had fallen into disrepair. Over the course of 90 years , little had been done little to maintain and repair the house. The Wattis' descendants decided it was time to act. After repurchasing the home, they tasked Home-Tech with the home's restoration.
As part of the project, Home-Tech installed new heating, cooling, electrical, and plumbing systems. The original wood trim, hardwood flooring, and windows were refinished. Home-Tech also installed period-appropriate wall coverings.
Throughout the project, Home-Tech took great care to maintain the Prairie style throughout the house. It was essential that the house be meticulously restored, maintaining its historical character.
The home is once again a gathering place for the Wattis descendants.
